Last week, the Blue Jeans team took a field trip to UC Berkeley to kick off our video conferencing service across campus. You may remember that we were at Cal a few months back, but now we’ve hit the ground running and are now extending the service to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Back in my day, going to class meant walking for five miles (one way!) and in the snow no less, since closing for ‘inclement weather’ was for chumps. These days, factors like distance or weather are one less hurdle students have to cross, thanks to innovations like video conferencing.
The world of traditional work is changing as we know it. Mobile and cloud technologies are disrupting this space and are ushering in a new, modern and complex ‘3D’ Workforce, one that is distributed across locations, has a decentralized leadership, and has work that occurs at discontinuous hours.
