Web Applications Engineer (Front end)
This is a technical leadership role at an early stage, fast-paced Silicon Valley start-up in the video infrastructure space. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing a massively scalable, cloud-based web UI that will be accessed from laptops, mobile, tablet and specialized devices.
Responsibilities
- Design software for a cloud-based video application delivered across multiple devices
- Build frontend software for web applications
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of software development on web applications
- Experience in web app design with Javascript, CSS, HTML5
- Experience with MVC frameworks such as Django, SpringMVC, Struts will be a plus
- Optimization experience for scalable multi-tier apps with load balancers, memcache, etc. a plus
- Implementation experience in cloud compute environments such as Amazon EC2 a plus
